The Computer Vision for Ecology workshop aims to bring together experts to foster discussion on the automation of ecological data collection, collation, and analysis.

Scope

Workshop themes

The workshop invites work at the intersection of computer vision, machine learning, ecology, biodiversity monitoring, conservation, and environmental understanding.

Submission topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Remote sensing
  • Bioacoustics
  • Video and image-based monitoring
  • Citizen science
  • Long-tailed recognition
  • Zero-shot learning
  • Expert AI systems
  • Robust model deployment

Submission

Submission information

The workshop invites full-length papers for archival proceedings and non-archival tracks. Submissions should use the standard ECCV format from the ECCV 2026 Author Kit.

The review process will be conducted on OpenReview. Each paper will receive at least two reviews, with final decisions made through the workshop review process. Accepted papers will be included on the workshop website and may be presented as posters.

Use the official ECCV 2026 Author Kit: Overleaf template, GitHub repository, or ZIP download.

Review policy

Reviews are double-blind. Appendices are acceptable and are not counted toward the page limits listed below. Reviewers are not required to review appendices but may do so at their discretion.

Archival track

Use the standard ECCV formatting. Archival papers may be either short-form (7 pages) or full-length (14 pages). References are not counted toward the page limit.

Non-archival track

Use the standard ECCV formatting. Non-archival papers may be either short-form (7 pages) or full-length (14 pages). References are not counted toward the page limit. Relevant work accepted at other conferences within the previous 6 months may be submitted as non-archival contributions regardless of length and formatting, subject to venue policy.
